Medical photonics

On 18th July, we are honored to have a visitor from Ryerson University, Canada. He is Prof. Victor Yang, a neurosurgern who is also a photonic engineer. He visited the lab and then give a talk about application of photonic in medical field, especially in brain surgery. A very interesting fellow and informative talk nonetheless. We have a fruitful discussion afterwards on collaborative initiatives and opportunities.

Center for Photonic Technologies was established in 2009 in effort to spearhead research activities in College of Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional. Our research focus are on optical sensors, optical amplifiers, fiber lasers and optical communication network. We also offer consultancy services in the fields related to our research focus area.
